Community

Linux is great for community projects !

It's a zero cost operating system, and there are several versions that run really well on older computer hardware. Don't forget, there are many useful applications such as Open Office, which are also totally free.

So if your organisation has received some old PC's which require an operating system that's secure and free, then Linux is the only logical choice.  It's also possible to configure Linux to run totally from CD, which means the PC can never get in a mess, because you simply turn the power off, then on again, to get the system working perfectly.

We're keen to help any charity, voluntary or community organisations adopt Linux as their operating system of choice. Please get in touch using the form on the Contact Us page and we'll see what we can do to help.
